Youth Progression

Tennis development begins with a program called Red/Orange/Green (R/O/G), which uses special equipment that allows young people to be successful on the court. Upon completion of R/O/G, junior players can participate in a robust pathway of SoCal team competition and junior tournaments, which can lead to regional, national, and international competitions.

USTA Tournaments provide a competitive showcase for every junior regardless of age or skill level. Junior tournaments feature singles, doubles, and mixed doubles play. For the serious player, junior tournaments can lead to being selected for regional or national competition as a representative of #TeamSoCal!

Tennis is a game for all ages and skill levels โ€“ and that includes the talented athletes who enjoy wheelchair and adaptive sports across the United States. In Southern California, wheelchair tennis programs are plentiful and reflective of the great talent that emerges from our Section. In addition, various programs throughout SoCal provide adaptive tennis programs so everyone can enjoy the benefits of the sport!

Southern California prides itself on grooming players who display outstanding sportsmanship as they compete in our Section and across the United States as representatives of #TeamSoCal.
